Abstract

In this paper, a dual auxiliary systems-based fault-tolerant attitude turn-on/off trigger control problem is studied for the satellite. To address the flexible performance tracking control problem under any initial condition, a new prescribed performance function is designed. Furthermore, to improve the accuracy of satellite attitude tracking errors under the saturation and fault, a novel monitor auxiliary system is proposed, which is excited by tracking error. Subsequently, a new turn-on/off trigger strategy is designed, which has the ability to automatically adjust the communication frequency from the controller to the actuator according to the system performance. In other words, the communication frequency increases from the controller to the actuator when the tracking error is close to the prescribed performance function, and the communication from the controller to the actuator will become real-time when the tracking error violates the prescribed performance function. Then, it is theoretically proven that the closed-loop satellite attitude control system is stable. Finally, the simulation example is given to prove the effectiveness of the designed control scheme.

Applied Mathematics and Computation addresses work at the interface between applied mathematics, numerical computation, and applications of systems – oriented ideas to the physical, biological, social, and behavioral sciences, and emphasizes papers of a computational nature focusing on new algorithms, their analysis and numerical results. In addition to presenting research papers, Applied Mathematics and Computation publishes review articles and single–topics issues.
