Abstract
A molecular cage was designed to trap cyclo-N5ˉ, a highly unstable anion, through collective weak interactions, as reported by Ming Liu et al. in their Research Article (e202501187). By intentionally avoiding strong interactions, the cage effectively preserved the aromaticity of cyclo-N5ˉ, while its decomposition was directly monitored via single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
