Abstract

The biomimetic lipid bilayer of liposomes shown in the Frontispiece image symbolizes the synthetic membrane applied in the Research Article by Leticia González, Andrea Pannwitz et al. (e202423393) to compartmentalize reaction spaces for an oxidation and a reduction reaction. The membrane also assembles a light-active molecular wire for light-driven transmembrane electron transfer. This design is inspired by solar light energy conversion and transmembrane electron transfer in natural photosynthesis, symbolized by the leaf in the background. Image created with BioRender.
