This study revealed higher susceptibility to infections in male animals and younger sheep, with infections occurring year-round, peaking in spring and summer. These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions, such as improved pasture management and deworming strategies, to mitigate economic losses and zoonotic risks. Abstract

Helminthic parasites are a significant concern for the food industry because of their detrimental effects on livestock health and food safety.
