Abstract
A 13-year-old girl presented with a 2-year history of progressive left ankle pain, limited range of motion, and swelling over the left lateral malleolus. Initial hematologic and rheumatologic lab tests were normal. MRI showed edema in the distal part of the left fibula. The patient was referred to our department due to inconsistencies in these findings. A 3-phase bone scan demonstrated increased activity in the distal physis of the left fibula, and SPECT/CT imaging indicated a possible osteoid osteoma. This diagnosis was confirmed through surgical resection and pathologic findings.
