Abstract

Liquid Resins

In article number 2402550, George Kaptay, Akos Levente Kokai, and Peter Baumli derive and validate the time dependence of penetration of impregnating resins into electric motor hair pin windings through penetration tests. For this purpose, a penetration device is designed where hair pins form a rectangular capillary. All of the relevant thermophysical properties of resins and their temperature dependence are measured and presented.
