Abstract
OS-SIM Optical Sectioning Mechanism
In article number 2401697, G. Ulrich Nienhaus, Peng Gao and co-workers explore the optical sectioning mechanism of optical sectioning structured illumination microscopy (OS-SIM) for further optimization. By using partially coherent illumination, fivefold or 1.4-fold axial resolution enhancement was achieved for non-fluorescent or fluorescent samples, respectively.
