Prospects for the Development of Information Technologies in the Management System of Metallurgical Companies

Abstract

This article considers the trends of the accelerating import substitution of the production management of IT; the importance of metallurgy in national security and for the achievement of information sovereignty; and self-investment by the industry in digitalization and software development. Based on the complex structure of the corporate business system of PAO Severstal; the specifics of the functioning of the ERP and MES systems and the subsystems APS, EAM, and SCADA; and the problems, characteristics, implementation examples, and forecast of the effectiveness of the Russian MES prototype Metallurgy are clarified.
