Abstract

The assembly of two π-conjugated planar primitives under different pH conditions unlocks the formation of three distinct nitrate-based supramolecular polymorphs, as reported by Chao Wu, Guangfeng Wei, and Chi Zhang et al. in their Research Article (e202503136). pH-Dependent secondary-bond interactions dictate the packing and transformation between these phases, yielding unique nonlinear optical properties. This study opens a new perspective in the precise engineering of high-performance nonlinear optical active supramolecular polymorphs.
