Abstract
Polyostotic fibrous dysplasia is a benign but potentially debilitating bone disorder characterized by the gradual replacement of normal bone with fibrous tissue. The polyostotic form, less common than the monostotic form, affects multiple bones, often asymmetrically. Clinical manifestations are variable and may include bone pain, deformities, pathologic fractures. Imaging plays a crucial role in diagnosis. Treatment is primarily symptomatic. We report the case of a 7-year-old girl admitted to our department for intermittent bone pain. History revealed a spontaneous pathological fracture of the left femoral neck. Further investigation with a CT scan revealed polyostotic fibrous dysplasia.
