Abstract
Foetal medicine in Denmark has evolved over 40 years, driven by advancements in ultrasound imaging. Initially targeting lethal conditions, the focus has expanded to include procedures that prolong pregnancy and reduce prematurity risks. Centralized at Rigshospitalet, the field features notable Danish contributions, such as the world's first ultrasound-guided foetal blood transfusion and significant advancements in chorionic villus sampling. In this review, treatments encompass a range of foetal anaemias, twin complications, and organ-specific interventions.
