This review serves as an overview of how TBI affects the orexin/hypocretin system, including structural and functional changes to the neurons after injury. This review is the first to include studies that examine how TBI affects orexin/hypocretin receptors. Abstract

Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs) are known to cause a myriad of symptoms in patients. One common symptom after injury is sleep disruptions.
