Abstract

Cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6is) with endocrine therapy are standard for advanced hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative (HR+/HER2-) breast cancer. However, treatment options following resistance to CDK4/6is remain poorly defined. Gong et al. conducted a phase 1b/2 trial, demonstrating that autophagy inhibitors combined with high-dose CDK4/6is are well tolerated and effective in patients with advanced HR+/HER2- breast cancer resistant to first-line CDK4/6i therapy.1.
