Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effect of comfortable nursing mode on the perioperative nursing effect and quality of life of patients undergoing laparoscopic myomectomy.
Methods: A total of 150 patients with uterine fibroids who were admitted and treated with laparoscopic myomectomy in our hospital from April 2020 to December 2021 were enrolled. The patients in the control group (n = 75) received routine nursing while those in the experimental group (n = 75) received comfortable nursing. The nursing effect, quality of life, and patient satisfaction of the two groups of patients before and after nursing intervention were compared.
Results: The length of hospital stay in the experimental group (6.25 ± 0.55 days) was significantly shorter than the control group (8.91 ± 0.85 days) (P < .05). After nursing intervention, patients in the experimental group had significantly higher awareness compared to the control group (P < .05). The scores of physiological, psychological, environmental, and social dimensions of the patients in the experimental group (10.45 ± 2.14, 19.58 ± 2.44, 25.58 ± 3.12, and 23.51 ± 3.26, respectively) were higher than those in the control group (7.41 ± 1.98, 16.59 ± 2.15, 20.41 ± 2.98, and 20.87 ± 3.14, respectively), and the total score was also significantly higher in the experimental group (P < .05). After the intervention, the psychological state scores of the two groups decreased, and the SAS and SDS scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group (P < .05). The experimental group reported significantly lower incidence of complications (2.63%) compared to the control group (14.67%) (P < .05), while patients in the experimental group were more satisfied compared to the control group, P < .05.
Conclusion: Comfortable nursing model might be a viable option for patients with laparoscopic myomectomy and deserves wider application in clinical practice.

Launched in 1995, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine has a mission to promote the art and science of integrative medicine and a responsibility to improve public health. We strive to maintain the highest standards of ethical medical journalism independent of special interests that is timely, accurate, and a pleasure to read. We publish original, peer-reviewed scientific articles that provide health care providers with continuing education to promote health, prevent illness, and treat disease. Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine was the first journal in this field to be indexed in the National Library of Medicine. In 2006, 2007, and 2008, ATHM had the highest impact factor ranking of any independently published peer-reviewed CAM journal in the United States—meaning that its research articles were cited more frequently than any other journal’s in the field.
Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine does not endorse any particular system or method but promotes the evaluation and appropriate use of all effective therapeutic approaches. Each issue contains a variety of disciplined inquiry methods, from case reports to original scientific research to systematic reviews. The editors encourage the integration of evidence-based emerging therapies with conventional medical practices by licensed health care providers in a way that promotes a comprehensive approach to health care that is focused on wellness, prevention, and healing. Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine hopes to inform all licensed health care practitioners about developments in fields other than their own and to foster an ongoing debate about the scientific, clinical, historical, legal, political, and cultural issues that affect all of health care.
