Abstract
A 60-year-old male patient presented with headache and vomiting following a fall. Computed Tomography (CT) brain imaging showed a subarachnoid hemorrhage due to aneurysm rupture in the anterior communicating artery (ACOM) and direct anterior cerebral artery (DACA). Right frontotemporal craniotomy and clipping of both ACOM and DACA aneurysms were performed. Corynebacterium striatum was circumstantially isolated from both blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) during the hospital stay. This report summaries the patient's clinical course, management of condition, and the consequences of this rare infection.
