Abstract
Neutron resonance capture analysis has been applied to determine the elemental composition of an archaeological object provided by the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This artifact is a fragment of ancient greaves. The experiment was carried out at the intense resonance neutron Source located in the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics in Dubna (Russia). The method is non-destructive and does not require any sample preparation. The result of the study of element composition of the fragment of greaves is presented in this paper.
