Abstract

Psychotic symptoms can occur within a variety of disorders, including some of organic etiology. The differential diagnosis of these conditions is often complex, although its relevance is of utmost importance for the orientation and design of the therapeutic plan.

The case of a 70-year-old patient referred to the Psychiatric Emergency Department for psychotic symptoms in the context of a brain metastasis from lung cancer is presented below.
