The prolonging of holding time improves the dissolution amount of elements Fe and Ni dissolved in the brazing seam on the Kovar metal side. Abstract

In this research, sapphire/Kovar sandwich joints were brazed using Ag–Cu-Ti alloy at 850 °C for 10, 20, and 30 min, and the microstructure evolution and interface reaction were investigated.
