Abstract
The review concerns the synthesis of various carbo- and heterocycles from the Pd-catalyzed addition of bis-nucleophiles to allylic bis-carboxylates, -carbonates or -diols under domino and achiral or chiral conditions. A few examples of application of the procedures to the total synthesis of natural compounds are presented. The proposed reaction mechanisms are highlighted with, as far as possible, personal comments.
