Changes in regulations, in professional practice, in the functions of teachers, or in their selection, as well as in the expected learning outcomes require ordering and pointing out the factors that play in favour of and against a progressive improvement of medical training in undergraduate studies. Abstract
The teaching-learning of medicine is constantly changing due to the numerous variables that affect it. This fact is particularly important when we refer to the clinical teaching environment, the cornerstone of the training of the future doctor. Changes in regulations, in professional practice, in the functions of teachers, or in their selection, as well as in the expected learning outcomes require ordering and pointing out the factors that play in favour of and against a progressive improvement of medical training in undergraduate studies. In this document, and after reviewing these aspects, considerations and recommendations are formulated that can and should be considered in the immediate future.
