Abstract

A strategy for the racemic sergeants and soldiers (S&S) effect that achieved precise control over both the intensity and sign of global chirality was presented by Wei Zhang and co-workers in their Communication (e202500444). Distinct chiral communication pathways between enantiomeric sergeants and achiral soldiers in this racemic liquid crystalline S&S system were found to further in situ drive multiple transitions of chiroptical properties in racemic copolymer assemblies.
