Abstract
Transition-metal-catalyzed C−H functionalization has become a cornerstone of modern organic synthesis, enabling the efficient formation of various C−C and C-heteroatom bonds. Ketenes, a class of highly reactive and versatile molecules, have recently been harnessed as powerful substrates for C−H functionalization reactions, unlocking new possibilities for the construction of complex molecular frameworks. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the latest advances in transition-metal-catalyzed C−H functionalization with ketenes, encompassing the design of novel catalytic systems, elucidation of reaction mechanisms, and exploration of synthetic applications. By highlighting the current state of the art, challenges, and future prospects, this concept aims to inspire further research and innovation in this rapidly evolving field, ultimately expanding the frontiers of transition-metal-catalyzed C−H functionalization with ketenes.
期刊介绍:
Organic chemistry is the fundamental science that stands at the heart of chemistry, biology, and materials science. Research in these areas is vigorous and truly international, with three major regions making almost equal contributions: America, Europe and Asia. Asia now has its own top international organic chemistry journal—the Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry (AsianJOC)
The AsianJOC is designed to be a top-ranked international research journal and publishes primary research as well as critical secondary information from authors across the world. The journal covers organic chemistry in its entirety. Authors and readers come from academia, the chemical industry, and government laboratories.
