Abstract
In this work, novel di-ureasil hybrid materials doped with three room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) (1-methylimidazolium chloride ([MIm]Cl), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([EMIm]Cl), and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([BMIm]Cl)) are synthesized by the sol-gel method, and their potential as ormolytes in electrochromic devices (ECDs) is evaluated.
