Abstract

Obesity, characterized by the excessive accumulation of white adipose tissue, is a significant global health burden and a major risk factor for a range of diseases, including malignancies and metabolic disorders. Individuals with high visceral fat content are particularly susceptible to severe complications such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and liver disorders. However, the pathogenesis of obesity-related metabolic diseases extends beyond simple adiposity.
