Wilson's disease (WD) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by abnormal copper metabolism. Disruptions in copper metabolism lead to excessive copper deposition in the liver, nervous system, kidneys, heart, and other organs, thereby inducing a range of pathological manifestations and clinical symptoms.
