Abstract
Selective laser melting technology has become widespread in various industries, but a significant problem with selective laser melting, which remains to this day, is the high roughness of the surfaces of the parts being created, which prevents their subsequent use. An analysis of works devoted to the study and minimization of roughness on both horizontal and vertical surfaces grown at different angles to the construction platform was carried out. This study focuses on statistical processing using a correlation matrix of the results of the influence of the power, speed, and linear energy density (LED) on the roughness of vertically growing surfaces. To determine the influence of the LED value on the roughness of the vertical surfaces, four parameters were used: Ra, Rz, Sa, and Sz. The obtained results showed that, when using a certain value of the linear energy input, the vertical roughness Ra of the surface area of samples can be reduced from 15 to 2.5 µm.
