Abstract
Eustachian tube dilation is an effective treatment of Eustachian tube dysfunction and can be performed safely in the office setting without a need for general anesthesia. Key considerations include ensuring the correct diagnosis, identifying patients with favorable anatomy and temperament, and allowing sufficient time for topical and local anesthesia to work. Performing this procedure in the office is more efficient and allows patients to avoid the risks and costs associated with general anesthesia.
