The gut microbiota, a sizable microbial community present in the human gut, is essential for digestion, immunomodulation, and nutrition absorption. Alternatively, a growing body of research indicates that gut microbiota is a key contributor to cancer, and intratumoral bacteria are considered to be crucial \"accomplices\" in the development and metastasis of malignancies. The exceptional clinical effectiveness of FMT in treating melanoma patients has been adequately established in earlier research, which has created new avenues for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and sparked an increasing interest in the treatment and prevention of other cancers. However, further research on the function and mechanisms of the gut microbiota is required to properly comprehend the impact and role of these organisms in tumor regulation.
