Despite advancements, challenges like off-target effects, immune responses, and tumor heterogeneity persist. Clinical trials, including CAR T-cell therapies and oncolytic viruses, highlight the potential of gene therapy, yet optimizing delivery and minimizing side effects remain critical for future progress.
