Abstract
In their Research Article (e202419905), Andrey S. Klymchenko et al. introduce a dynamic artificial receptor for neurotransmitter dopamine that synergically combines molecular recognition with dynamic imine bond formation of a fluorescent dye inside a lipid nanoreactor, triggering its emission color change. This nanoprobe enables dopamine detection with remarkable selectivity without interference of competing biogenic amines and biological fluids, such as blood serum, plasma, urine and cell lysate.
