Abstract

An experiment using 136Xe beam to bombard natural zinc (natZn) target was performed at Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) to investigate the fusion reaction in the near-symmetric system. The fusion-evaporation cross sections were obtained by the direct measurement of α-decay spectroscopy of the evaporation residues. In this paper, the details of the experimental setup and the extracted excitation function are presented.
