Risk of post-ERCP pancreatitis due to placement of biliary self-expandable metal stents (SEMS): a single-center retrospective study.

PEP was higher in the SEMS group than in the non-SEMS group (10.6% vs. 5.7%, p=0.0008) and higher than those who had plastic stent placement (10.6% vs. 6.3%, n=31/494; p=0.0299).
