Abstract
Concurrent use of two or more antipsychotics has continued to increase over the past 50 years despite its association with a higher risk of adverse events, a systematic review and meta-analysis has found. In comparison with antipsychotic monotherapy, polypharmacy was associated with higher risk of adverse outcomes such as relapse and psychiatric hospitalization.
