Abstract
By alkylation of the sodium salt of 1,2,4-triazole with (3-chloropropyl)trimethoxysilane in a boiling toluene—DMF mixture for 3 h, 1-[3-(trimethoxysifyl)propyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole was synthesized with a yield of 86%. The possibility of the use of this compound to obtain materials with covalently immobilized 1,2,4-triazole moieties both by modifying the surface of silica gel and by the sol—gel process using joint hydrolytic condensation with tetraethoxysilane was shown.
