Abstract
This work presents a novel filtering power divider with enhanced second harmonic suppression, wide bandwidth, and good frequency selectivity compared to conventional power dividers. This filtering power divider consisted of three parts, namely a bandpass filter, a power divider, and an impedance transformer. The analysis method suitable for this type of structure was presented. In addition, generalized design formulas were derived to produce optimal design parameter values and achieve the desired bandwidths. A wideband filtering power divider was thus fabricated for performance verification and used to obtain measurements; the results showed 50% fractional bandwidth, 0.47 dB insertion loss, and 15.2 dB return loss in the passband. Harmonic suppression and isolation at 2f0 were measured to be 52 dBc and –35 dB, respectively.
