Abstract

Purpose of review: Despite significant efforts to understand pathophysiological processes underlying cardiac diseases, the molecular causes for the most part remain unresolved. Rapid advancements in -omics technologies, and their application in cardiac research, offer new insight into cardiac remodeling in disease states.
