The structure and main properties of the synthesized polyarene ether ketones were studied. The composition and structure of the polymeric materials were confirmed by IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. Abstract
Halogen-containing unsaturated polyarene ether ketones were obtained by nucleophilic substitution reaction in a high-boiling solvent, N,N-dimethylacetamide. The structure and main properties of the synthesized polyarene ether ketones were studied. The composition and structure of the polymeric materials were confirmed by IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. It has been shown that polyarylene ether ketones are well soluble in aliphatic and amide solvents, possess high heat and fire resistance, and can find application as heat-resistant structural polymeric materials.
