Abstract
The current development trend in clothing production and design, namely, the processing of used items into new textile materials, is discussed in the paper. Foreign and domestic experience in recycling synthetic textiles and plastic waste into new clothing products with improved ergonomic and aesthetic characteristics for various target consumer groups has been analyzed. The prospects of the technology under consideration lie in the responsible approach of the designer to the task of reducing the level of environmental pollution by recycling waste accumulating on the planet.
