Abstract—Restoration of worn parts by electric contact welding of a perforated steel tape is proposed. A structural indicator for the new addition (perforation coefficient) is introduced, and its rational value has been theoretically determined and experimentally confirmed. The results obtained can be applied for the restoration of the shafts of agricultural machinery.
