Abstract

The Japanese Practical Guidelines for Asthma Management algorithm achieved high sensitivity (87.7%) and specificity (94.5%) for asthma diagnosis. It highlights nocturnal cough and breathlessness, offering a practical asthma diagnostic approach. The algorithm distinguishes asthma from upper respiratory tract infections effectively.
