Abstract
A 59-year-old female patient was prescribed Saire-to for dizziness. She demonstrated no symptoms, but a blood test conducted after 5 months revealed liver dysfunction, and thus she was referred to and admitted to our hospital. Her condition rapidly improved after drug discontinuation, and a liver biopsy test confirmed drug-induced liver injury, with a positive drug-induced lymphocyte stimulation test. Herbal medicine-induced liver damage has been increasing in recent years, many of which contain Ougon. Herbal medicines that contain Ougon pose a risk of liver damage;thus, regular blood tests are required even in the absence of symptoms.
