Abstract

To determine the relationship between mobility levels (turning from one side to another in bed, sitting on the edge of the bed, standing at the edge of the bed, and walking inside the patient room) of older patients undergoing spinal surgery and their fear of pain and falling, and the factors affecting them. A descriptive correlational study was conducted with 144 older individuals who underwent spinal surgery. Female gender and post-operative pain were predictors of total and all sub-dimensions of mobility level in older patients who underwent spinal surgery.
