Additionally, the pharyngeal glands in <i>P. clavata</i> are tubular, while in <i>P. crassinoda</i>, they have large lobes with internal cuticular projections. Chemical analyses identified shared hydrocarbons between the species, as well as unique compounds that may reflect specific behavioral and ecological adaptations.
