[Initial management of a new-onset atrial fibrillation in 10 questions].

Abstract

New-onset atrial fibrillation is frequently encountered in internal medicine or after surgery. The European Society of Cardiology 2024 guidelines may appear too detailed or even too complex for the non-specialist looking for quick answers on the topic. The aim of this article is to answer 10 questions about the initial management of this disease in a synthetic and practical way according to the most recent guidelines.
