The Mediterranean diet, rich in plant-based foods with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties-such as whole-grain cereals, extra-virgin olive oil, vegetables, legumes, fruits, and nuts-has been shown to reduce the clinical severity of these conditions. It also supports weight control and positively impacts metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors, which are closely linked to these diseases. Dietary education, particularly about the Mediterranean diet, plays a crucial role in the management of these skin diseases and serves as an important non-pharmacological treatment option that can influence patient prognosis. Abstract
