Abstract

Fe3O4 powder is obtained by grinding of magnetite mineral. The particle size has a major influence on the magnetic properties of the powder. Measuring the magnetic properties of crushed magnetite requires the use of complex and highly sensitive measurement equipment and is time-consuming. For this purpose, a measurement method based on a force magnetometer was developed, which enables a quick and efficient assessment of magnetic properties. The proposed measurement principle can be applied for estimation of grinding efficiency of Fe3O4.
