Abstract
A 65-year-old woman aspirated scallop-containing rice porridge, presenting with dyspnea. Computed tomography revealed a foreign body in the right upper bronchus, which was removed using flexible bronchoscopy. Pathology suggested the foreign body to be scallop adductor muscle fibres. Scallop-related airway foreign bodies are rare, and flexible bronchoscopy is effective.
