The microstructure of the films obtained under different deposition modes was studied. The optical absorption and photoluminescence excitation spectra were investigated. Abstract

Technological conditions were identified and thin layers of the ZnIn2S4 compound were obtained by vacuum deposition in a quasi-closed volume on non-orienting and orienting substrates made of various materials such as glass, fused quartz, glass-ceramic, transparent conducting SnO2 layers on glass, copper and steel plates, and mica.
