Abstract
Porous organic polymers have garnered significant attention in carbon dioxide capture and catalytic conversion applications due to their high specific surface area, stable chemical properties, and ease of functionalization. The type of adsorption plays a crucial role in determining the adsorption efficiency and catalytic performance of these materials in CO₂ capture and conversion. The Review by Z. Zhong, X. Wang and B. Tan (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202404089) offers a brief comparison of the effects of different adsorption types on adsorption efficiency, as well as their influence on both chemo- and photocatalytic conversions. Additionally, a perspective on the future development of this field is provided.
