Dear Editor, Loxoscelism, caused by bites from Loxosceles spiders, notably Loxosceles reclusa, presents with necrotic skin lesions and, in severe cases, systemic symptoms such as hemolysis, acute renal failure, and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
